CAE Design Technician II supports the computer-aided engineering (CAE) design engineering process for products, components, or structures. Assists with the creation of prototypes, layouts, and models for product components, a system, or a manufacturing process using CAE tools. Being a CAE Design Technician II checks and verifies layouts and results of analysis for accuracy and adherence to standards. Collects, validates, and prepares data required for CAE processes. Additionally, CAE Design Technician II typically requires an associate degree in engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The CAE Design Technician II works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.
