The Vice President of Collections ensures all collections policies are followed. Develops overall corporate policies regarding collections of overdue/delinquent accounts. Being a Vice President of Collections may work with legal counsel or outside collections agencies to handle overdue accounts. Monitors collections activities and provides recommendations for improvement. In addition, Vice President of Collections may require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Vice President of Collections manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business.
