Wound Care Services Director directs the programs and staff of the wound care services department. Develops and implements wound care services in accordance with the policies of the hospital and the directives of the medical staff. Being a Wound Care Services Director monitors patient progress and treatment plans. Responsible for the education of clinical staff. Additionally, Wound Care Services Director requires a MD degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires license to practice medicine. The Wound Care Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Wound Care Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. As a Wound Care Consultant, you will act as a liaison between our company and skilled nursing facilities, long-term care facilities and rehabilitation facilities. You will work closely with facility staff to assist in the development and implementation of wound care programs that surpass clinical standards and deliver efficiencies in service and cost. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wound care management, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Integrated Wound Care is committed to providing quality wound care, reducing wound-related hospitalizations, and improving outcomes for residents and patients in long-term care facilities.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with facility staff to develop and implement wound care programs
    • Act as a consultant to facility staff on all aspects of wound care management
    • Conduct assessments and evaluations of patients with complex wounds
    • Provide training and education to facility staff regarding wound care best practices and emerging treatments
    • Participate in wound care rounds with facility staff and provide recommendations for treatment plans
    • Monitor wound healing progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
    • Serve as an expert resource for facility staff regarding wound care related questions and concerns

    Requirements

    • Current, active Nurse Practitioner License, or Physician Assistant License
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in wound care management
    • Strong knowledge of wound care management practices and standards
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills
    • Willingness to travel 2-3 days per week
