Salazar Road Veterinary Clinic has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! We are looking for compassionate, motivated team players who are committed to excellent client service and exceptional patient care.

The ideal candidate:

• Comfortable around small animals and exotics (birds, pocket pets, reptiles, etc.)
• Positive, upbeat, and cheerful attitude
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
• Remains calm in emotional, stressful, and fast-paced environments
• Committed to a career in veterinary medicine with interest in growth and ongoing training
• Experience in a veterinary office or other animal-related career is a plus, but not required

This is a full-time or part-time, Monday-Friday role (4-10s/5-8s) with weekends off.

Skills and responsibilities:

· Anesthetic induction

· Anesthesia monitoring

· Surgical preparation and assistance

· Dental prophy

· Digital radiology

· Patient handling and restraint

· Blood draws

· IV catheter placement

· Suture wounds and incisions

· Pharmacy duties

· Lab work

· Drug calculations

· Outpatient procedures

· Microscopic evaluation

· Administer vaccines, injections, and medications

· Client communication and education
