Service Managers for Champlain Valley Equipment are responsible for all aspects of running the Service department. Duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating customer, warranty, and internal work, managing a team of Service Technicians, a Service Writer, and Driver, and ensuring that the department operates smoothly and profitably. Our Service Managers represent the whole company and our brand in prominent and significant settings.
Dealership hours are 7:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 am to noon on most Saturdays.

Tasks· Formulate, implement, and monitor an operating plan for the department
· Drive Service department sales via superior customer satisfaction, quality work, and various promotional tools
· Formally evaluate each departmental employee annually to ensure individual objective attainment
· Coach and train employees to enable them to improve and grow in their roles
· Communicate effectively with customers regarding Service work to be performed and collection of payment
· Develop an ongoing program for recruiting new Service Technicians
· Provide and encourage a culture of personal development and career advancement with each employee
· Resolve potential conflicts regarding Service work that has been performed and make decisions about possible write-downs
· Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on personnel's work priority and skill
· Arrange for the continued education and career growth of all departmental employees
