Treasury Analyst is responsible for supporting all aspects of daily treasury operations. Oversees cash reporting and forecasting, credit administration, lender compliance requirements, administration of business insurance programs, and debt facility modeling. Being a Treasury Analyst researches economic trends and investment opportunities. May assist senior staff with preparing materials and reports using standard methodologies and procedures. Additionally, Treasury Analyst determines procurement of funds, and monitors investments and collections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Treasury Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a Treasury Analyst typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.     The Treasury Analyst is primarily responsible for system/processing of data for Asset-Liability Management (ALM), bank funding, interest rate risk management, and ALCO process, etc.  A focus of this role will be to manage day to day cash operations and strategy for Nicolet Bank.  The role will allow for creativity and freedom to solve complex financial problems faced at the organization and department levels.

     

    As a Treasury Analyst, you will:

    Reporting

    • Assist with monthly Treasury Reporting.  Prepare monthly & quarterly Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO) reporting package ensuring all parameters in the treasury policy are reported.
    • Assist with Financial Reporting such as annual budget, monthly forecasting, management reporting and financial reporting.
    • Report results of ALM Stress Tests and reporting (Liquidity, IRR, EVE, and Capital).

    Documentation

    • Assist in the documentation, implementation, and monitoring of policies, procedures and practices for interest rate, liquidity, and funding risk.  
    • Develop documentation for modeling processes and data management including process efficiencies, model validation, back testing, other model enhancements.

    Process Development & Data Management

    • Implement and deploy automated solutions for the collection of data and the production of risk metrics and treasury reports.
    • Conduct data querying, manipulation, transformation, and analysis of large data sets.
    • Design, build, and maintain robust framework for the efficient, timely, and accurate production of summary risk information for subsequent distribution to senior management, board members, and regulators.
    • Leverage current and new system functionality and apply these capabilities to improve current business processes (systems such as ZM Financial, Vena Solutions, Excel, etc.).

    Analysis

    • Evaluate and resolve issues and errors found within systems, maintaining the credibility and integrity of the data.
    • Develop analytical models to explain the change in values of assets and liabilities and provide attribution and sensitivity analyses for all inputs and assumptions that may drive performance.
    • Assist with back testing model assumptions and results to validate and improve forecasting.
    • Additional related duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, business analytics, economics, or mathematics.
    • 0-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or data analytics.
    • Preferred: Banking industry experience.
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
    • Strong logic-based skills (math, reasoning, analytical, decision-making). 
    • Ability to formulate & execute basic to complex mathematical formulas and apply accounting-based principles to perform analysis that supports decision-making or other action.           
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Power Point, (Tableau / SQL experience is a plus).
    • Exposure to Bank Asset/Liability Management concepts; familiarity with ZM Desk, or other ALM systems a plus.
    • Possess understanding of banking and financial markets and experience reviewing bank balance sheets, identifying, and addressing key financial and interest rate risks.
