Transportation Director directs, develops, and implements overall operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Develops and directs operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Being a Transportation Director monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiencies. The Director of Transportation will analyze, evaluate, and present key findings and recommendations to drive business improvements. To be successful in this role, you will foster strong internal & external relationships and have the ability to collaborate with team members and vehicle leasing and rental vendors. Must possess strong communication skills and be able to present findings to upper management as well as manage change at the facility level when implementing new processes. Must understand high volume delivery requirements.
