    We are seeking an accomplished Director of Patient Care Services to spearhead our efforts in delivering exemplary care to patients both at home and within various facilities, including nursing homes and assisted living establishments. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Business Development, this integral leadership role involves the strategic oversight of Nursing and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) services. Your expertise will drive the integration of our organizational values and clinical practice standards while fostering the professional development of nursing staff.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide visionary leadership in all nursing-related areas, ensuring the highest quality of patient care.
    • Collaborate closely with senior leadership, including the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director, to implement strategies for process enhancement, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
    • Conduct thorough reviews of clinical processes to guarantee adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
    • Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws and regulations while supporting both internal and external compliance evaluation efforts.
    • Identify opportunities for improvement in patient care delivery and assist in regulatory survey preparations.
    • Establish operational guidelines and draft departmental policies to streamline Nursing Services management.
    • Supervise daily operations of Nursing and CNA services, ensuring optimal staffing ratios and quality care.
    • Act as a resource for reimbursement and patient care challenges, addressing inquiries and potential liabilities while keeping the Chief Operating Officer informed.
    • Engage in community relations initiatives to promote awareness of our services and contribute to agency goals.
    • Oversee financial management of the Nursing Services department, ensuring effective resource allocation and identifying staffing needs.
    • Collaborate with administrative teams to coordinate seamless patient services and maintain comprehensive records.
    • Foster a collaborative approach to patient care, facilitating communication across disciplines.
    • Lead recruitment, evaluation, and continuous development of Nursing Services personnel while promoting a culture of professional growth.

    Required Skills

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of three years' experience in hospice nursing care.
    • Hospice and Palliative Nursing Certification is desirable.
    • At least five years of experience in advanced administrative roles, including supervisory responsibilities, budget management, and program development.
    • Valid State of Florida driver's license.
