    Position Overview 

    The Executive Director of Leadership and Learning plays a pivotal role in ensuring effective leadership and instructional practices within educational institutions. This position involves overseeing and supporting principals and instructional coaches to enhance teaching and learning outcomes across all levels.


    Reports to the Chief Executive Officer 


    Key Responsibilities 

    1. Leadership Development:
      • Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to principals and instructional coaches.
      • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in instructional leadership practices.
      • Collaborate with school leaders to develop leadership skills and promote a shared vision for educational excellence.
    2. Instructional Support:
      • Monitor the implementation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices in alignment with educational standards and goals.
      • Conduct regular observations and provide constructive feedback to principals and instructional coaches to improve teaching effectiveness.
      • Facilitate the sharing of best practices and resources among principals and instructional coaches to support student achievement.
    3. Data Analysis and Decision-Making:
      • Analyze student performance data and other relevant metrics to identify areas for improvement and inform instructional strategies.
      • Work with principals and instructional coaches in setting goals, monitoring progress, making data-driven decisions to address student needs and resolving school-based concerns and problems
    4. Communication and Collaboration:
      • Serve as a liaison between district administration, school leaders, and instructional staff to ensure alignment of goals and initiatives.
      • Foster a collaborative and supportive network among principals and instructional coaches to promote professional growth and collaboration.
      • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and community members, to ensure transparency and engagement in educational initiatives.
    5. Program Evaluation and Accountability:
      • Supervise and evaluate principals and instructional coaches
      • Conduct on-site observations, provide feedback, support and suggestions to principals and instructional coaches
      • Evaluate the effectiveness of leadership and instructional coaching programs and initiatives, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
      • Ensure compliance with district policies, state and federal regulations related to instructional leadership and coaching.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field. Doctorate preferred.
    • State certification or licensure as a school administrator.
    • Extensive experience in educational leadership roles, with a focus on instructional coaching and professional development.
    • Strong understanding of educational best practices, curriculum development, and assessment strategies.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and technology tools for educational management and evaluation.
    • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.

    This role requires a dynamic and visionary leader who can inspire and support principals and instructional coaches in driving continuous improvement and maximizing student success.

    • Annual review, including analysis of school survey
    • Designated Evaluation Tool
    • Evaluated by the CEO.

    Compensation is commensurate with experience.
