Our client, a true leader in their field, is in need of a Environmental, Safety and Health Manager with an emphasis on Safety for their location near Macon, Georgia. This position manages and coordinates facility Environmental, Health and Safety programs (EHS) programs, in an effort to eliminate all accidents and environmental citations. This position also supports activities designed to grow a “safety conscious culture” and will assist in developing, implementing, and coordinating site Environmental, Health and Safety programs for the plant, labs, office, and mines. Position also requires open communication on safety and environmental issues related to employees, contractors and management and acts as the main interface with ) MSHA and Georgia EPD. Qualifications for this position include the following:

• Minimum Bachelors Degree in engineering, environmental, health and safety, or related technical curriculum and/or (4) years of Mining and Mineral Processing operations or industrial chemical manufacturing experience
• Applicant must possess experience in safe work and environmental management procedures and practices. CSP Certification is highly desirable.
• Proficient in the use and application of PCs, Microsoft Office, ERP Systems and related office applications
• Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local occupational safety, health, environmental rules, and regulations.
• Ability to effectively deal with other people, especially other company personnel, to enlist needed cooperation in coordinating regulatory requirements.
