QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of related tax experience
- Experience in OneSource income tax preparation software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Minimum of College Degree in accounting
- Knowledge of compliance for unitary income tax filings and interacting with an external tax advisor for the preparation of other unitary filings
JOB DUTIES:
- Prepare tax renditions accurately
- Reconcile appraisal notices and correct discrepancies if required
- Prepare apportionment factors, state adjustments conforming to the federal internal revenue code
- Prepare unitary Michigan income tax return working with external tax advisors for preparation
- Prepare for state adjustments, income tax settlement and estimated tax
- payments
- Maintain for the internal property tax manual
- Support for tax audits and tax planning
- Making semi-monthly tax payments and preparing for quarterly return
