Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to handle various types of delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload products safely and efficiently, ensuring that all items are secured during transit.
• Navigate routes using GPS or maps to ensure timely deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks for loading and unloading when necessary.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role, with knowledge of commercial driving practices.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers and team members.
• Capability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading/unloading processes.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Overnight shift

Work Days:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
