SUMMARY
Relieves the executive of administrative type functions in order to increase the time an executive has available for executive level responsibilities. Handle a wide variety of situations and conflicts involving the clerical and administrative function of the office. Responsible to handle and be privy to confidential and time sensitive material the maintaining strictest confidentiality. Prepares routine and advanced correspondence including letters, memoranda, agenda, schedules, and reports. Essential job duties may include screening calls, making travel arrangements, preparing reports and financial data, training and supervising other support staff, customer relations and internet research. Works in concert with the Executive Assistant to the President & Board of Trustees and other executives to ensure efficiency in Grady Health System operations. This position requires broad discretionary judgment and the use of tact and diplomacy at all times. Requires a thorough working knowledge of the senior executive essential job duties to effectively schedule the executive's calendar, manage inquires, initiate and carry out requests. Must be able to discern and anticipate needs, proactively plan and execute with a fair degree of independence working in close collaboration and communications with the executive and his or her direct reports and customers.
