Textbook Manager manages the textbook department of the campus bookstore. Purchases the necessary texts for university courses, makes pricing decisions, and keeps track of inventory and sales. Being a Textbook Manager develops textbook buy back programs and return policies. Supervises the preparation and return of overstock and defective books. Additionally, Textbook Manager may lead and direct the work of others. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a bookstore manager. The Textbook Manager supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Textbook Manager typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The purpose of Summer Textbook Project Temporary was established for the purpose of getting Wit &Wisdom ELA resources inventoried, bar coded, and sorted. We are looking for two certified employees and 10 classified employees. We would like to have two teams that will go out to the school buildings to do the work. Each team will have 1 certified person (to lead the team) and 5 classified people, depending on interest.
The certified lead will be paid $18.00/hr and the classified team members will be paid $15.00/hr. High school students that are at lease 16 years old will be paid $10.00/hr.
We are looking for people that are available to work Monday – Thursday from 7am – 3pm, starting June 3rd until the project is complete.
Must be able to lift and move boxes weighing 20-40 pounds.
Must have reliable transportation to get to different locations across Olathe daily.
