Technical Librarian jobs in Kansas
Technical Librarian develops and maintains a collection of technical information and provides research and reference support to researchers, scientists, and engineers. Builds an extensive network of technical information resources and contacts from various sources like government agencies, universities, professional and industry associations to obtain the required information. Being a Technical Librarian communicates with researchers to develop and maintain a broad knowledge and understanding of the organization's relevant topics and effectively target technical publications as information sources. Creates abstracts, bibliographies, and metadata to classify the information. Additionally, Technical Librarian obtains translations of literature as needed. Supports and maintains the library's technology infrastructure and information retrieval tools. Typically requires a master's degree in library science. Typically reports to a manager. The Technical Librarian work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a Technical Librarian typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. What You'll Do...
Full cycle recruiting of Information Technology professionals, which includes:- Sourcing candidates through online searches, searching our internal database, utilizing Linkedin Recruiter, generating referrals, searching job boards, posting jobs online, attending events, and locating technical talent in any/every other way possible.
- Outbound phone calls, inMails, emails, and texts to initiate contact with Information Technology professionals.
- Screening and Interviewing Information Technology professionals to find out what's important to them, why it's important to them, and to determine the best way to help them accomplish their career objectives.
- When you determine a match, preparing and submitting a candidate to the job openings of our clients for contract, contract to hire, and direct placement opportunities.
- Regular follow-up and support for our technical associates throughout their client engagements.
- Recording activities, making notes, and creating documentation in our online Applicant Tracking/CRM software.
