Education and Work Experience Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical or material science engineering. BS in Applied Sciences (math, chemistry, physics, etc.) may be considered depending on experience.
• 7-10 years of quality/process engineering with a minimum of 2-3 years of New Product Development experience.
• Greater than 5 years industrial experience in which candidate had responsibility for the development and implementation of product and/or process quality.
• The preferred candidate will have experience with structured quality control stage gate process.
• Expertise in ISO/TS type quality systems is required.
• Candidate must have demonstrated quality leadership and people management skills plus exhibit strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience using MS Office Suite.
• EDI experience preferred but not required

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct and ensure compliance to our company Quality Assurance and Quality Control Procedures and/or Systems.
• Adherence to ASTM, EPA, CARB, CPSC quality and regulatory compliance standards.
• Participate in all aspects of Midwest Can Company’s (and related affiliates’) Regulatory & Compliance Programs and Procedures, including coordinating with Quality Managers on existing and New Products, both domestically and internationally.
• Function as primary contact with all Regulatory Agencies, voluntary standard organizations and trade associations on all matters.
• Present recommendations on reporting to EPA and CARB, selecting Testing Laboratories, analyzing test results, consumer complaints, and participating in internal and external audits.
• Develop and Document and Implement Quality Policies and Procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 Standards.
• Leader of our product post sales and service (warranty).
• Owner and Developer of our company procedures or policies requiring customer notification and approval.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
