Supply Chain Analyst monitors and expedites the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Coordinates with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain. Being a Supply Chain Analyst identifies bottlenecks or problem areas and escalates or proposes solutions. Works with suppliers to resolve issues. Additionally, Supply Chain Analyst may assist in the negotiation of contracts or service arrangements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Responsibilities:
● Develop and implement contracts with purchasing organizations and value analysis
teams.
● Ensure contract compliance and monitor existing and future contracts.
● Maintain contract management databases and ensure accurate pricing in the hospital
system.
● Utilize price benchmarking databases and data analytics
● Ensure timely implementation of hospital contracts and monitor expirations.
● Act as a resource for hospital departments and value analysis teams regarding contract
opportunities. Actively manage value analyses.
● Report on savings initiatives regularly to meet strategic goals.
● Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures.
● Analyze utilization and recommend strategies for improving quality and efficiency.
● Interface with contracted vendors and address and resolve issues.
● Manage contract renewal and rate negotiation.
● Research and explore potential vendors and negotiate and implement new contracts.
● Maintain vendor relationships, update policies and procedures, and process invoices
● Oversee implementation and ongoing operations for new projects and initiatives.
● Support the purchasing office and its functions.
● Conduct market and product research.
● Analyze and evaluate non-salary expenses.
● Collaborate with vendors: issue proposals, evaluate vendors, obtain and review bids.
● Assist with product, service, and equipment evaluations and feedback collection.
● Work with departments to determine needs, establish specifications, and review
contracts.
● Attend meetings to stay updated on product developments and industry trends
Qualifications:
● 2 years of Supply Chain, Purchasing or as a Buyer
● Past experience with issuing proposals, evaluate vendors, obtain and review bids.
● Strong contract experience is a MUSY
● Attention to details and common sense
Hours are 8am to 5pm
100% onsite in Woburn, MA
