If you are a retired nurse who would like to work one or two days weekly in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere in a historic Inn, surrounded by peaceful meadows on 86 acres of land, you are encouraged to apply.
Baldpate is a private JCAHO accredited substance abuse treatment center in Georgetown MA. Since 1938, we have been treating individuals suffering from alcoholism and all forms of opiate addiction. This position is in the main building, a historic comfortable and beautiful Inn, surrounded by 86 acres of peaceful hills and valleys. At the Inn, we have a maximum of 16 patients. We are seeking individuals who are tired of a fast paced workplace who would prefer a less stressful environment. Patients are referred to as guests, and are treated accordingly. All applicants must have current RN Licensure in Massachusetts, CPR registration and ideally a minimum of 1 year experience in a behavioral health and substance abuse treatment facility.

Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patient's condition and response to treatment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferably in substance abuse treatment setting.
- Strong knowledge of patient assessment and occupational health practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Computer literacy.
