Strategic Sourcing Specialist jobs in Pennsylvania

LHH Recruitment Solutions has a Strategic Sourcing Specialist role open for our client in the West Chester, PA region. Qualified candidate MUST HAVE proven strategic sourcing and planning experience in industrial applications REQUIRED, for a minimum of 3-5 years! This direct hire role allows you to expand your sourcing career through supporting the inventory levels and production schedules by meeting supply and demand and timely production and delivery to customers! This position requires a minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing production environment and MUST be proven highly proficient in sourcing of machinery used, materials utilized, and scheduling.

Salary range: $75,000 to $85,000 DOE.

Role & Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing the organizations sourcing and purchasing operations.
• Identify, appraise, and improve sourcing activities through analyzing the organizations spending, supplying partnerships and new opportunities.
• Analyze schematics and blueprints of part-drawings for mechanical and electrical components and to be able to communicate those needs to suppliers.
• Manage all purchasing related activities that support prototype projects, pre-production, and transition to production.
• Optimize quality, delivery, and cost thought using select suppliers and/or identifying new cost savings through new suppliers.
• Support of production related sourcing such as; troubleshooting material shortages, supplier performance and costs monitoring, developing sourcing related process and tools.
• Oversee component sourcing process and timeline until items are internally qualified.
• Generate and implement cost efficient sourcing and category management strategies continuously.
• Identify, analyze and calculate costs of procurement while also suggesting ideas/methods to decrease expenditures.
• Perform analysis such as make vs. buy for parts as needed/required.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement events/workshops and Kaizen events as scheduled.
• Identify wastes and waste minimization throughout the sourcing and purchasing processes.
• Identify, create and implement best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, or Engineering required.
• Minimum 3-5 current years of experience in strategic sourcing and planning in a manufacturing environment required.
• Experience working in a Quality Management System such as ISO9001 or AS9100 highly preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma/Process improvement tools experience highly preferred.
• Experience with international suppliers and the related compliance and logistics highly preferred.
• Expertise in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptionally strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management utilization.
