Stationary Engineer jobs in Oklahoma
Stationary Engineer operates, repairs, and maintains stationary equipment including boilers, generators, refrigeration, and turbines in buildings, plants or industrial facilities. Ensures that equipment is operating safely and within established limits. Being a Stationary Engineer conducts monitoring and failure analysis of meters, gauges and controls to determine the need for repair or replacement of parts. Performs preventative maintenance and documents completed procedures. Additionally, Stationary Engineer requires a high school diploma. Requires applicable Stationary Engineer's license for the state. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Stationary Engineer works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Stationary Engineer typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to utilize a wide range of mechanical and computer skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written. Ability to make decisions and work with limited supervision. Ability to be a self-starter who is able to work varied hours.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Operates the equipment in the Central Power Plant. Monitors and tests all alarms and responds accordingly. Performs maintenance, repair, and installation of all H.V.A.C. equipment. Serves as supervisor of engineering in the absence of the supervisor. Actively participates in the energy management program. Performs chemical analysis on water and fuel associated with HVAC systems. Performs additional duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.
