Staff Nurse - RN - Occupational Health jobs in the United States
Staff Nurse - RN - Occupational Health provides professional nursing care to on-site employees. Treats occupational injuries and illnesses, referring patients to emergency care facilities or outside medical resources as needed. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Occupational Health performs pre-employment physical examinations, including vision and hearing screenings, blood work, and other related tests. Maintains employee medical records and ensures that record-keeping procedures comply with legal and confidentiality requirements. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Occupational Health may be responsible for administering flu vaccination, workers' compensation, disability, and/or employee health and safety training programs. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent. Requires a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Staff Nurse - RN - Occupational Health work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Description
You will play a crucial role in a manufacturing clinic as an Occupational Health Nurse, responsible for addressing employee health needs in a temporary position based in North Berwick, ME. Your primary responsibilities will include responding to emergencies, performing health screenings and assessments, evaluating and treating injuries and illnesses, and administering wellness programs and immunizations. You will also be involved in managing disability and workers' compensation return-to-work cases.
Schedule
Monday to Thursday: 12 pm - 8:30 pm
Friday: 10 am - 6:30 pm
Job-share options will be considered.
Salary
Compensation at $50/hour.
Duties- Respond to emergencies
- Perform health screenings and assessments
- Evaluate and treat injuries and illnesses
- Implement wellness programs and provide immunizations
- Handle disability and workers' compensation return-to-work case management functions
- Active Maine RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in urgent care, emergency department, or occupational health setting preferred
- Excellent computer skills
