Software Quality Assurance Supervisor jobs in Rhode Island
Software Quality Assurance Supervisor supervises the daily operations of a software quality assurance team. Assigns testing tasks to team members. Being a Software Quality Assurance Supervisor trains team on tools and methodologies to ensure that software tests identify defects and comply with quality standards. Evaluates test results against expected results and recommends improvements to test plans and scripts as needed. Additionally, Software Quality Assurance Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Reports to a manager. The Software Quality Assurance Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Software Quality Assurance Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 6 Months- Responsible for the efficient and effective performance of testing in conformance with regulations and standards.
- Responsibilities include inspection, analysis of results, determining final disposition of some product and detecting nonconforming conditions.
- Works within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods. Adheres to quality guidelines. Complies with regulations and standards.
- Identifies basic non-compliance within regulations and standards. Maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed.
- Associates degree in quality, life sciences, or engineering related field. (May be equivalent to 2 years experience).
- Proven ability to correctly interpret drawings and geometric dimensions and tolerances.
- Able to use standard measuring equipment including calipers, Random-Access memory (RAM) optic, micrometers, pin gauges, gage blocks, etc.
- Previous experience participating in continuous improvement activities. Demonstrated understanding in the use of calibrated equipment and ability to follow equipment maintenance repair procedures.
