Slot Floor Person responds to customers reporting jackpots and determines if the jackpot is valid. May need to calculate jackpot amounts for jackpots not registering on the computer system. Being a Slot Floor Person prints jackpot tickets, obtains customer identification, and completes appropriate forms. Ensures compliance with federal and state gaming regulations. Additionally, Slot Floor Person may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Slot Floor Person may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. What you will be doing- Attends to all guest comments, questions, complaints, etc. in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Monitors performance of slot machines, activity and conditions of casino slot areas to ensure all slot machines are operable or identified for repair as necessary.
- Verifies and pays out jackpots and completes relevant paperwork.
- Proactively observes gaming floor for customers in need of service.
- Displays a thorough working knowledge of slot machines and relevant games.
- Has full understanding of facility’s features and amenities.
- Stays updated on promotions, special events, etc. to be able to competently inform guests.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work Requirements:
- At least 21 years old
- Flexible hours
- Basic computer skills and knowledge.
- High speed typing ability.
- Ability to work in a high stress environment.
- Exceptional multitasking abilities.
- Ability to write detailed and accurate reports.
- Good eye-to-hand coordination.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing ability required allowing monitoring of multiple radio broadcasts with or without utilizing headsets.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Working knowledge of, and the ability to operate, various base station and handheld radios.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Due to confidentiality of position must sign, read and understand an agreement pertaining to consequences of not adhering to department internal controls and state regulations.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must apply and obtain the appropriate state occupational gaming license, which includes lifetime FBI criminal background check.
- Must pass drug testing as per company's Drug Free Workplace Policy and applicable background checks.
