Security Guard - Armed jobs in Indiana
Security Guard - Armed provides security and guards buildings, grounds, materials, work sites, or other venues. Monitors security systems and responds to alarms, reports of issues, or requests for assistance. Being a Security Guard - Armed patrols an assigned location. Follows required gate-keeping procedures such as verifying visitor credentials, conducting inspections, or preparing paperwork. Additionally, Security Guard - Armed may operate an access control or identity system to control building access. Completes shift activity logs and inputs to systems. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically requires Firearms Certification. May require a Security Guard License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Security Guard - Armed works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their properties. Responsibilities
- As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their properties
- Perform regular patrols of assigned areas to deter criminal activity and ensure the safety of individuals and property
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify potential security threats
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, taking appropriate action as necessary
- Conduct thorough investigations of security breaches, accidents, or other incidents that occur on the premises
- Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain order and protect the rights of individuals
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients and visitors with inquiries or concerns
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary
Qualifications
- Valid Licence To Carry Handgun Permit
- First aid and CPR certification ( Preferred But Not Required )
- Proven experience in surveillance techniques and loss prevention
- Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and other security equipment
- 2 years Law Enforcement or Security Experience ( Preferred But Not Required )
- Customer Service Experience ( Preferred But Not Required )
- Indianapolis, IN 46202: Relocate before starting work (Required)
