Secondary Market Manager helps develop, manage, and improve a company's secondary mortgage market operations. Leads a team of analysts to ensure timely and accurate work and provides research and solutions to complex questions or tasks. Being a Secondary Market Manager oversees the company's loan purchases and sales on the secondary market and manages mortgage loan portfolios to balance risk. Reviews performance indicators and utilizes economic data and market trends to determine risk. Additionally, Secondary Market Manager maintains relationships with investors, brokers, and originators to identify and develop new leads and opportunities. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a director. The Secondary Market Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Secondary Market Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     • The Market Manager assumes leadership for sales, operations, staff development and all general business for an assigned Market.
    • The position provides oversight for financial performance, operations, recruiting, and service – including the responsibility of creating a business plan on how best to service and grow our market base. 
    • The Market Manager provides vision, inspires, directs, and develops a management team and staff that ultimately deliver net operating income, impacting shareholder value. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    The salary for this position is anticipated to range between $95,000.00 - $111,000.00 per year plus incentive. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. In addition to monetary compensation, we offer a competitive benefits package, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, Company-matching 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Program, and Tuition Reimbursement, in addition to other programs and perks.     Physical And Work Requirements

    Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds. Travel required to visit branch and client locations.
