Five Star Food Service is search for a seasoned restaurant manager or chef from a “high volume” restaurant concept. The General Manager/Chef, reporting directly to the Dining Service Director, holds duties related to day to day operations of a Company account. The position entails a need for excellent communication skills; ability to multi-task, strong team leadership, client relations and ensures superior food quality and strong customer service skills.

Floating General Manager responsibilities include:

• Manages overall day to day operations of the account
• Oversees scheduling, payroll and team training
• Maintains excellent relationships with customers, guests and Client as well as other departments
• Works with the corporate Chef and management team in creating menus and providing top quality food
• Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team
• Complies with all HACCP and Health Department policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Highschool diploma or equivalent required; BS, Hospitality or Culinary degree preferred
• 2-3 or more year’s tenure as a General Manager or Chef
• Understands food cost, labor cost control in a high-volume operation
• Must be able to lift 50lbs ; on a repetitive basis and have the ability to reach, bend, stoop on a frequent basis.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Work around others in close quarters.
• Must be able to obtain ServSafe Certification.
• Must be able to consent to a drug screen.
• Must be able to consent to a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to follow workplace safety policies and guidelines.
