Position Overview
The Program Manager - Credit Risk will be responsible for overseeing and managing credit risk programs, ensuring that credit risk policies and procedures are effectively implemented and adhered to. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, managing projects, and providing strategic insights to enhance the company’s credit risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- **Program Management:**
- Develop and implement credit risk management programs and initiatives.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of credit risk projects.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that programs are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- **Credit Risk Analysis:**
- Oversee the assessment of credit risk exposure and develop strategies to manage and mitigate risks.
- Analyze credit risk data and provide insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
- Develop and maintain credit risk models and tools to support risk assessment and management.
- **Policy and Procedure Development:**
- Design, implement, and maintain credit risk policies and procedures.
- Ensure that credit risk policies are in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of credit risk policies and procedures.
- **Stakeholder Management:**
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and legal teams, to address credit risk issues and align on strategies.
- Communicate program status, risks, and issues to senior management and other stakeholders.
- **Reporting and Documentation:**
- Prepare and present reports on credit risk program performance and outcomes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of program activities, decisions, and risk assessments.
Qualifications
- **Education:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master’s) or relevant certification (e.g., FRM, CFA) is a plus.
- **Experience:**
- 5-8 years of experience in credit risk management, program management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional projects and managing credit risk programs.
- **Skills:**
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent project management skills with experience using project management tools and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of credit risk principles, models, and regulatory requirements.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with senior management and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Excel, SQL, and risk management systems.
