Revenue Cycle Manager jobs in Wisconsin

Our client, a local public health department, is seeking a temporary Revenue Cycle Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves to problem solve and have input on process improvement!

Responsibilities of this role include:

• Assess and document current workflow for all lines of business, from patient encounter to claim payment.
• Identify various key indicators – claim lag/timing, pay/deny rates, full revenue cycle
• Evaluate roles and accountability in claim process
• Compare findings to industry best practices and standards
• Identify areas to improve and modernize billing practices

Core Competencies for this role include –

• Experience with State of Wisconsin Title XIX & Medicaid/Forward Health billing
• Billing and claims processing experience at the lead or supervisor level
• Understands coding and how CPT and ICD codes work together
• Experience with insurance verification
• Ability to train staff on billing procedures
• Ability to document processes and workflows and create improvements

Qualifications include –

• Minimum of five years of direct medical billing and coding experience as an individual contributor in a public health outpatient clinic setting. Additional supervisory experience highly desirable,
• Expert knowledge of medical billing and claims processing including
• Revenue management reporting and benchmarking
• Familiar with the 340B drug pricing program
• Knowledgeable in medical terminology
• CPC, CCS or other relevant certification preferred
• Experience with grant utilization and reporting a plus

Pay Rate: $40-$48/hr, depending on experience

Location: Downtown Milwaukee

Timeline - This project is scheduled from June-October 2024, with full time hours.
