Residential Care Medical Director plans and directs all aspects of clinical care at an assisted living or skilled nursing facility. Ensures that clinical programs operate in compliance with all applicable regulations. Being a Residential Care Medical Director provides patient consultations as needed and manages relationships between staff and attending physicians. Advises non-medical management on clinical and patient related matters and policies. Additionally, Residential Care Medical Director requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a state license to practice medicine. Typically reports to top management. The Residential Care Medical Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. The Miami Valley Hospital North (MVHN) Associate Program Medical Director (APMD) works closely with the Miami Valley Hospital (MVH) Program Medical Director (PMD) and operational staff to; enhance day-today clinical operations, achieving group quality metrics, coordinating continuing education opportunities, orientation of new physicians, to enhance the network’s delivery of quality patient care and meet legal compliance.
This position is also responsible for providing clinical management to a team of patients while assisting with administrative duties.
Together with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the PMD, the APMD, and program practice manager are responsible for the performance of the Miami Valley Hospitalist North team and its specific goals.
Reporting Structure
The Associate Program Medical Director reports directly to the PMD at MVH and a dotted reporting line to the MVHN CMO.
Schedule
Associate Program Medical Director will work Monday through Friday preferably, however other full-time schedules that will guarantee successful administrative oversight are negotiable.
