ROLE DEFINITION
As a Quality Control Laboratory Technician you will provide high-quality analytical data to release products in support of the objectives and goals of the Automotive Adhesives & Fluids business.
Responsibilities Description
Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:- Analyze samples according to the sample plan
- Prioritize and analyze special request samples
- Use tools and apply basic statistics to evaluate the validity of data and compare to specification limits, in order to determine and take appropriate actions
- Document, communicate, and archive results
- Follow appropriate retest / resample procedures as outlined by the business
- Communicate role related information between shifts, day staff, and business partners
- Participate in facility management, including, but not limited to: managing materials & supplies, housekeeping, and managing waste in accordance with RCRA guidelines
- Follow Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) and Operating Discipline / Quality System procedures and practices
- Assure compliance to rules and regulations such as EH&S, GMP and IATF 16949
Requirements:- HS Diploma or GED
- Previous analytical laboratory experience and/or technical training in analytical chemistry
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Proficiency with math and computer skills required to perform role in Quality Control lab
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to work on feet for extended period of time (up to 75% of shift)
- Good manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Able to work a reasonable amount of overtime per the contract and/or business needs
- Provide coverage on weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays as scheduled, and help cover for teammates
