Reimbursement Services Director directs and supervises the activities of the claims and provider reimbursement personnel. Handles third-party reimbursement for services rendered to patients. Being a Reimbursement Services Director sets procedures for filing reimbursement claims and ensures timely and accurate claims payments. Monitors, evaluates and reviews all cost reporting in support of reimbursement claims. The Corporate Director Government Reimbursement and Reporting will serve as a lead in understanding and realization of various state and federal reimbursement programs and ensure compliance with all related reporting and attestations including cost reports, government stimulus and state supplemental payment programs.
Required qualifications:
1. Minimum of a BS/BA in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field. 2. Must have minimum of 15 20 years healthcare finance experience with demonstrated knowledge of cost reporting and government payer oversight. Specifically, has experience overseeing Interns & Residents program reimbursement, Medicare bad debts, S-10 Charity, and Total Hospital bad debt logs, prepare monthly reserves and have knowledge of Federal and State DSH programs.3. Must have multi-state experience, ideally in CA, TX, MI, NJ, and PA.4. Must have a strong background in financial analysis and cost accounting. 5. Must be familiar with Medicare regulations, terminology, and program guidelines for cost reporting
Preferred qualifications:
1. Experience with HFS cost reporting software is highly desirable2. Able to interact with various patient accounting systems3. Working knowledge of Excel
