Rehabilitation Services Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations of the rehabilitation therapy function. Supervises the delivery of therapy programs to patients. The Rehabilitation Services Technician assists members of the rehabilitation team with therapeutic treatments for physical, mental, and occupational disabilities, injuries, and illnesses in a variety of age groups to include: Infant (birth to 1 year), Pediatric (1 year to 12 years), Adolescence (13 to 17 years), Adult (18 to 64 years), and Geriatric (65 and above). The Tech is responsible for patient transport, assisting therapists and therapy assistants in performance of patient related activities, department cleanliness, inventory of all equipment and supplies, and some clerical tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Minimum Qualifications: Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English. Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use Electronic Health Record information tools. Ability to remain flexible to quickly adapt to urgent situations. Ability to adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the position.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. At least 3 months of related experience and/or training in a healthcare setting preferred. Proficiency with typing, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel preferred. Rehabilitation services knowledge and/or industry experience, familiarity with office procedures and basic accounting principles, mathematical skills, strong oral and written communication skills, results-oriented, employee training experience, self-motivation, organizational and time management skills, and customer service skills. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: American Heart Association BLS; May have up to 30 days from date of hire or transfer to obtain. For those positions requiring travel, a current valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
