Our rehabilitation services and professional staff provide the supports that people with serious mental illness, physical disabilities and other developmental challenges need to be active, productive members of their communities.

    Job Summary

    The Assistant Regional Director is responsible for assisting the regional director with oversight and management of daily operations of CareLink’s Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) programs, as well as, the implementation of agency mission, values and goals. Individuals working in this capacity are accountable for staff supervision, implementing quality rehabilitative programming and insuring the health and welfare of clients.

    Assistant Regional Directors are part of the Management Team and work closely with CareLink administration to implement agency policies, procedures, and standards of care. The primary means of achieving these goals is through daily operational oversight of the program supervisors of the individual programs within this region.

    Pay Rate: Starting at $59,500

    Qualifications

    • Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
    • Preferred Education: Master's Degree
    • Field of study: Human Services or related field
    • Work Experience: 3 to 5 years
    • Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Required: Valid Driver’s License, CPRP/RPRP Certification is preferred.

    Essential Functions

    • Plans the daily operation of the program.
    • Reports all relevant problems and changes to the appropriate CareLink administrative personnel.
    • Assists staff in planning, coordination and implementation of day, evening, and/or weekend social and recreational activities for consumers.
    • Oversees referrals to the program.
    • Coordinates and develops individual service plans designed to improve the social and self-care skills of consumers.
    • Monitors consumer medications.
    • Oversees consumer’s special medication needs.
    • Oversees menu planning and food ordering on a weekly basis.
    • Ensures coverage for each shift.
    • Works additional shifts when needed to assure proper coverage.
    • Participates in the daily milieu of the program.
    • Demonstrates respect for consumers, families, staff and agency principles.
    • Assists staff in their duties when needed.
    • Designs and implements services to meet consumer needs.
    • Transports consumers as necessary/appropriate.
    • Appropriately supervises all staff, students, and volunteers.
    • Provides leadership, example, instructions, suggestions, and discipline as appropriate.
    • Monitors consumer charts on a continual basis to insure that all treatment plans,
    • progress notes and other materials are current.
    • Provides a thorough and timely orientation to each new employee in the program.
    • Prepares staff assignments.
    • Participates in the development and training of employees to improve their work quality and job knowledge.
    • Assesses, teaches and supervises staff on an on-going basis regarding their work quality and job knowledge.
    • Prepares and administers staff introductory and annual performance evaluations accurately, fairly and on time.
    • Conducts staff meetings on a regular basis.
    • Ensures that program/site is in full compliance with all applicable regulations and standards
    • Insures that program site is well maintained.
    • Monitors program expenditures according to budget.
    • Processes all necessary paperwork related to consumers program status, including admission and discharge information.
    • Monitors and sign-off on all incident reports as needed.
    • Insures that all staff documentation is completed accurately and on time.
    • Handles liaison responsibilities with appropriate entities.
    • Participates in on-call rotation.
    • Submits all administrative paperwork on time as required.
    • Organize on-call coverage rotation.
    • Performs regional site medication audits.
    • Reviews CareLink Standard Documentation binders for the region.
    • Mentors Program Supervisors/Directors on program and agency policy and procedures.
    • Provides assistance to programs with pre-licensing preparations, including chart audits.
    • Provides administrative support to Program Supervisors/Directors in their duties.
    • Assists Program Supervisor/Directors in their duties.
    • Assists the Regional Director in other specified duties.
    • Responds appropriately to emergencies.
    • Performs job within framework of agency policies and procedures, program requirements and professional standards.
    • Contributes to Continuous Quality Improvement meetings.
    • Contributes to agency training schedule.
    • Receives and participates in supervision on an on-going basis.
    • Demonstrates the ability to take direction.
    • Attends and participates in agency events.
    • Participates in achievement of agency goals, objectives, and mission through psychosocial rehabilitation values and process.
    • Participates actively in quality improvement efforts, including an emphasis upon consumer and family satisfaction.
    • Prepares monthly billing and reports.

    • Displays motivation, interest and initiative in working creatively with people who have disabilities.
