    Education/Experience:

    As an LTL Rating Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the database systems utilized for rating freight shipments in the Less Than Truckload (LTL) industry. This role requires a deep understanding of database management principles, LTL rating methodologies, and strong analytical skills. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure accurate and efficient rating processes, troubleshoot database issues, and implement improvements to enhance system performance.

    Key Responsibilities:


    Database Management:

    • Maintain and administer LTL rating databases, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security.
    • Develop and implement database policies, procedures, and standards to optimize performance and reliability.
    • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
    • Perform regular backups, updates, and patches to ensure data protection and system stability.

    LTL Rating System Support:

    • Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand LTL rating requirements and translate them into database solutions.
    • Support end-users by resolving database-related inquiries, issues, and errors in a timely manner.
    • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure accurate rating calculations and adherence to business rules.
    • Provide training and documentation to educate users on database functionalities and best practices.

    Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Extract, analyze, and interpret data from the LTL rating databases to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Generate reports and dashboards to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and insights to stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with business analysts and management to develop strategies for optimizing rating processes and pricing strategies.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Proactively identify areas for database optimization, automation, and enhancement to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to LTL rating databases.
    • Implement process improvements and system enhancements to support business growth and scalability.
    • All other duties as assigned by Managment.
