Owen Steel Company is currently recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector. Successful applicant should have 3-5 years of experience working in a steel manufacturing environment for welding, fabrication, quality control and NDE (UT required). Applicant must be familiar with FCAW and SAW welding processes and be able to read manufacturing drawings for fit-up and final fabrication verification and documentation. Should have a good understanding of fabrication codes (AWS D1.1 preferred) and be able to interface with our customer QC representatives. Will perform layout, fitting, material verification, welding and final inspection. Responsible for completion of reports for all testing and inspections performed.
