Overview: Apple Rehab, a leading healthcare provider overseeing 20 Skilled Nursing Facilities, is seeking a Director of Physical Plant and Purchasing. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient operations, compliance, and safety across all facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of maintenance directors and housekeeping directors.
• Oversee construction and electrical crews, prioritizing projects and addressing issues.
• Provide on-call support for physical plant emergencies.
• Act as the Apple AB UST Operator for all underground storage tanks, ensuring DEEP compliance and overseeing tank removals.
• Manage Legionella control, collaborating with external partners.
• Supervise the physical plant of the corporate building.
• Review and manage corporate invoices for utilities, cleaning services, HVAC, phone, cable, postage meters, and printer usage.
• Submit and review captial expense requests for ownership approval.
• Manage contracts related to the physical plant, including refuse, electricity, elevators, natural gas, printers/copiers, phones, TV, biohazard, snowplow, landscaping, office supplies, and fire compliance systems.
• Coordinate laundry contracts and work with the team on the laundry, dishware, and EVS chemical program.
• Collaborate with accounting and manage capital project budgets.
• Lead energy efficiency upgrades 

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in facility management, preferably in healthcare or similar settings.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of compliance regulations and safety standards in healthcare facilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations.
