POSTION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Executive Director, is responsible for leading the finance and accounting functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations.
- Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual performance results. Provide forecast report to the Executive Director along with recommendations timely to ensure informed operational management.
- Conduct profit and cost analysis; provide monthly, quarterly, and annual report to the Executive Director along with recommendations timely to ensure positive budget and operational performance.
- Provide financial reporting and interpret performance results to management; recommending course of action to ensure the financial health of the organization.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including statement of cash flow, profit and loss, balance sheet, aging accounts payables and receivables, and other routine reports as needed or assigned; provide to the Executive Director and Finance Committee prior to routine scheduled meetings.
- Develops budgets with input from Management and Program Leadership to effectively and efficiently serve the mission of the organization through its programs.
- Conducts risk assessment, periodically and at least annually in concert with the Executive Director to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/P, A/R, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Grant Fund Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal funding requirements as set forth in each individual grant.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Participates in scheduled meetings of the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors; presents prepared financial statements and ancillary documents as necessary to ensure Directors are informed of the financial status of the organization.

Skills:
- Proven experience as director of finance or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability
