Professor - Sociology jobs in North Dakota
Professor - Sociology teaches courses in the discipline area of sociology. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Sociology provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Sociology typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Job Title: Adjunct Instructor for Sociology
Location: Face-to-face at Mayville State University, Mayville, ND and Online
Benefits: Non-Benefited

Compensation: Salary commensurate with course load. An offer of employment is contingent on passing a background check.

Job Description: Mayville State University accepts applications for Adjunct Instructors on an ongoing basis. We are looking for adjunct instructors who can teach a variety of online and/or on-campus courses in Sociology courses. These positions and applications are viewed as openings occur.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Teaching experience face-to-face and online
- Background/experience in applying instructional technology as a tool in education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching in higher education.
- Two years of experience teaching face-to-face and in an online environment
