Professor - Physical Therapy jobs in Louisiana

Purpose: To aide the physical therapist in patient care and documentation as well as maintaining a clean and organized atmosphere for patients to receive treatment.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Assist assigned therapist with maintaining patient flow in the gym including detailed exercise instruction and observation with personalized care and attention to detail
• Assist therapist in application of modalities ranging from moist heat, ice, electrical stimulation, traction, ultrasounds at the discretion of the therapist
• Maintaining open lines of communication between the therapist and patient to ensure all needs are met and treatment is aimed at patient’s goals
• Notify therapist of any concerns of the patient; when the patient is in need of therapist attention/care
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the clinic with rotation of daily and weekly cleaning duties (see separate list)
• Perform opening/closing duties of the clinic to begin or close out the day
• Assist in maintaining patient safety of the clinic by checking and maintaining temperatures of the hydrocollator, pool chemicals and temperature, etc
• Maintain appearance of gym, treatment rooms, overall clinic
• Updating of flow sheets during and following patient visits, preparing home exercise programs

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
