Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Manager in the Courtenay Office. The successful Civil Engineering Technologist or Drafter will be involved in various sectors (resource, municipal, energy and mining) and will possess a strong background in infrastructure design and drafting through various sectors with a motivated and dynamic team of professionals. Successful applicants will participate in the provision of engineering services as a dedicated drafter, completing each stage of design from concept, to detailed design, to record drawings.

Major Job Functions:

• Preparing Engineering Drawings for projects in various sectors
• Assisting with processing survey and LiDAR data
• Preparing construction layout survey files
• Processing as-built information in preparing record drawings

Education and Experience:

• Diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering Technology or Equivalent Experience
• Minimum one year experience in a design or consulting engineering environment
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD Civil3D
• Additional drafting software expertise an asset
