We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Scheduler to join our team in the Food Manufacturing industry. This role is crucial to our business's success, as you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating the flow of goods throughout the production cycle. Your expertise in process improvement, warehouse management, purchasing, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) will be highly valued as you work to streamline our operations and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Production Scheduler, you will- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, taking into account demand, labor, and material availability, and production capacity.
- Coordinate with various departments, including sales, production, and purchasing, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Utilize ERP systems to manage and analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions.
- Monitor the production process, making necessary adjustments to the schedule to accommodate changes in demand or production capabilities.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall production performance.
- Manage warehouse operations, ensuring optimal inventory levels and efficient material flow.
- Work with the purchasing department to secure necessary materials, taking into account lead times, cost, and quality.
- Prepare and present reports on production performance, highlighting areas of concern and recommending solutions.
To be considered for the Permanent Production Scheduler role, you must have- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in planning, scheduling, and coordinating the flow of goods in a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management and purchasing procedures.
- Excellent skills in process improvement, with a track record of implementing effective solutions.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems to manage and analyze production data.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
