Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. - Job Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Spray coating application with handheld spray gun in confined space using rotating shop stand. Monitor coating application and coating adherence per work instructions, and customer specifications. May perform tasks such as assembly, disassembly, vibratory tumble, blending, peen, grit blast and masking/prep in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications. Ensure even coating is applied to parts. Performs all work in accordance with plant safety rules and maintains highest quality standards in the execution of all assigned work. Performs routine preventative maintenance on all machines and other routine labor work as required in accordance with production flow. Operator prepares necessary quality documents and confirms quality of own work using inspection tools in accordance with product specifications, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Operator to adhere to all 5s / CPEX policies and to have a continuous improvement mindset. This position requires access to controlled technology subject to certain restrictions regarding export, use and disclosure including without limitation those included in the US Export Administration Regulations (15 CFR, Chapter VII, Subchapter C). To comply with applicable export compliance regulations, job offers to persons who are not U.S citizens, permanent residents, asylees or TPS refugees will only be made where it is possible to obtain export authorization within the required time-frame for the contemplated work and will be contingent upon such license actually being obtained within that time frame. Chromalloy will only employ those who are legally authorized to work. Qualifications EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: Must have HS Diploma or GED. Strong shop mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions required. Previous painting and/or powder coating experience using handheld spray gun preferred. Detailed masking experience preferred. On the job experience of 3-5 years in manufacturing environment preferred. Must be able to follow instructions, read and interpret blue prints. Must be able to work in a team environment.
