Product Development Manager manages the staff, resources, and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Incorporates research and concept development projects and capabilities with market analysis, industry intelligence, and customer monitoring to support product roadmaps and innovate new products, enhancements, and redesigns. Being a Product Development Manager coordinates with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products meet development targets and support the organization's financial goals. Develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Additionally, Product Development Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Product Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Product Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. We need a PM to partner with our talented Data and Platform engineering teams to deliver the data tools and APIs to support an increasingly diverse set of companies and use cases built on the network.
In this role, you will:
- Build an understanding of the entire breadth of data use cases on the network, by working with large financial institutions, global NGOs, decentralized protocols and small start ups building applications.
- Understand their diverse needs so that you can act as their voice and champion as we work with the community to build new tools and standards.
- Build and prioritize a roadmap which accounts for the needs of this diverse group of stakeholders alongside the broader objectives of the organization.
- Be an advocate for your products, roadmap and the customers they support across the org, Stellar community and broader industry.
You have:
- 2 years of PM experience working on multi-user software applications
- Experience delivering API, CLI or library driven products that are well documented and provide a great experience for developers
- The ability to apply user insights and data analyses to inform product decisions
- Familiarity with modern data architectures and data movement patterns
Bonus Points if:
- Experience working with large datasets and analytics applications. Experience working on highly available software systems
- Past contributions or work with open source software projects.
- Interest in distributed systems, and blockchain infrastructure.
We offer competitive pay with a base salary range for this position of $130,000 - $160,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, we offer lumen-denominated grants along with the following perks and benefits:
