Summary:
Vanmark Equipment is hiring for an Assistant to Operations Support Specialist. We are a custom stainless-steel fabrication company. This position involves doing a high variety of mostly computer-based processes. We are looking for an independently motivated individual who is excited to learn processes as well as support day to day operations.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Assisting the Operations Support Specialist in processing customer orders, shipping parts orders, requesting quotes from vendors, responding to customer requests, answering phones, and acting as receptionist when needed.
- Using our ERP software to complete necessary tasks.
- Process Customer Orders.
- Enter Orders into system.
- Look up pricing.
- Obtain part lead times.
- Respond to customers.
- Create Shipping paperwork.
- Packing slips.
- Process shipment in system.
- UPS/FedEx/DHL shipment labels.
- Get quotes from Vendors for parts.
- Email or phone for quotes.
- Respond to Customer Requests via email and phone.
- Answer phones and act as receptionist when needed.
- Some data entry is required
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience working in office environment.
- Independent worker.
- Must enjoy doing a variety of tasks daily.
- Able to learn new tasks and self-teach.
- Attention to detail is paramount.
- Must be Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- High proficiency with Excel a plus.
- Customer interface experience.
- Able to write professionally in emails and other documents.
- Ability to Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Be able to lift up to 20 lbs. on occasion.
- Sit/Stand for extended periods.
- Be able to walk into shop environment and interact with other employees while following all safety protocols for the environment.
