Process Engineering Technician provides technical support to engineers to ensure production goals of the organization are met. Provides assistance related to the review of existing and design of new manufacturing equipment, processes, and plants. Being a Process Engineering Technician may suggest or implement equipment purchases, modifications or calibration changes that could result in improved productivity or reduced costs related to production. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Process Engineering Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for opening the plant during days production is scheduled, performing set up, start up, and process troubleshooting of production molds in injection molding machines, as well as completing other plant duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Has high school education or equivalent and minimum of five years experience in plastic injection molding with strong processing skills and some experience maintaining injection molding machines and related tooling. Knowledge of different materials and machine types, with ability to effectively use tools associated with ensuring product quality including calipers, micrometers, height and pin gauges.
Language Skills
Has strong written and verbal control of the English language and ability to communicate effectively with others and be clearly understood
Mathematical Skills
The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability
Has the ability to interpret and solve practical problems related to production duties. Ability to interpret a variety of inputs furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Has strong mechanical aptitude and exhibits sound judgment
Computer Operations
Basic keyboard skills and computer aptitude
Planning and Organization
Ability to effectively prioritize, organize, multi-task and be detailed oriented. Good organization, communication and teamwork skills

Well-lighted, environmentally controlled indoor office, production and warehouse area with adequate ventilation. Job requires lifting up to 50 pounds 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
