Essential Job Functions for Revenue Cycle Manager:
· As the Billing and Collections Manager, you'll oversee patient account functions from start to finish, ensuring proper collection procedures and billing accuracy.
· You'll collaborate with billing services, prepare reports, and establish goals for process improvement.
· Compliance with regulations, contract reviews, and insurance credentialing will be key responsibilities.
· Additionally, you'll handle staff supervision, resolving complaints, and maintaining alignment with organizational practices and legal standards.
Education/Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field required. Significant revenue cycle experience can substitute for the degree.
· Minimum 3-10 years of experience in medical billing, coding, and collections, with knowledge of CPT, ICD-9/ICD-10, HCPC coding, and medical terminology.
· Understanding of managed care products (HMO, PPO, etc.) and insurance laws/regulations.
· Preferred experience with provider insurance credentialing and in Federally Qualified Health Centres (FQHCs).
License/Certification:
· Valid Louisiana Driver's License.
· Certified Coder certification highly preferred.
