Additionally, we extend our services to include streamlined collection of used motor oil, facilitated by a dedicated team committed to swift pickup and efficient transportation to our recycling facilities, simplifying the complexities of waste management for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Daily operation, upkeep, and maintenance of used motor oil processing facility.
- Log hourly: flows, levels, temperatures, and pressures of flow of used oil through each process stage. Monitor built in safety devices such as high temperature limits, high- and low-pressure devices, overflow devices, level control devices, fire suppression devices.
- Tank farm management (blending, transferring, tank monitoring)
- Working closely with pad operators to help manage the offloading and loading of used motor oil and fuel oil.
- Assist maintenance foreman with routine maintenance of associated equipment (i.e. tank farm, bulk storage tanks, numerous pipelines with manifold systems, pumps – motors, filtration equipment and process controls)
- Other duties as assigned by facility manager, including housekeeping practices, cross training of both refinery and pad responsibilities.
Requirements
- Related tank farm, wastewater treatment, fleet fueling or chemical process experience
- A general understanding of boilers, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, vacuum, and control systems.
- Good communication skills, oral, and written
- Ability to work flexible hours and/or shifts
- Ability to lift, connect, and disconnect heavy hoses
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
As a Plant Operator, your pivotal role is to guarantee the seamless functioning of our facility. Your responsibilities encompass operating and maintaining diverse plant equipment, overseeing processes, addressing issues, and gathering data for analysis. Success in this position necessitates robust mechanical knowledge, familiarity with distributed control systems (DCS) and logic controllers, and proficiency in basic repairs. Moreover, comfort with heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks is essential for optimal performance.
