    SUMMARY

    Paragon Professional Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Construction Control Representative for US Army Corp or Engineers (USACE), Construction Management Services at Pipestem Dan, Jamestown North Dakota. Candidate will  be responsible for surveillance of construction projects and delivering findings to the USACE Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).  Findings will include but are limited to the following. Complete site daily reports in Resident Management System (RMS). Include comments and monitoring of progress, work activities, safety issues and subcontractor manpower in the reports.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    Provide timely scheduling oversite and services for multiple contracts. Perform bi-weekly review of contractor submitted schedules in P6. Analyze schedule progression and report to COR. Perform reviews of time impact analysis as provided by contractor and report to COR. Attend weekly conference call meetings. Advise COR on any potential schedule impacts or contractor submitted schedule deficiencies.  Review contractors pay applications and provide comments to COR. Prepare project status reports.

    QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

    Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO’s)

    Scheduler must have at least five (5) years of experience meeting the position description above and demonstrate experience with at least one of the listed specialized skills or codes under the position description.

    The following is a list of specialized skills or codes which may be required:

    • Experience using Primavera P6 creating and implementing new vertical construction, renovation, medical facility, pharmaceutical, and heavy-highway type of construction
    • Creating and implementing Critical Path Method (CPM) Baseline Schedule with Primavera P6 (or more current version); Primavera P6 Critical Path Method (CPM)
    • Monitor program milestones and interdependencies between subprojects, identifying the critical path and suggesting alternatives
    • Analyzes contractor schedules and advises Government on acceptability of schedule revisions
    • Time Impact Analysis for Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REA) or Claims experience

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

    • Prior experience scheduling at least one of the following: new vertical construction, renovation, medical facility, pharmaceutical, and heavy-highway type of construction
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment
    • Ability to pass background check
    • Must have two valid forms of Government issued identification

    Preferred

    • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
    • Experience with US Army Corps of Engineers Resident Management System (RMS)

    NECESSARY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Reaching with hands and arms for items above and below sight level, talking, hearing, and seeing (up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth, color perception, and the ability to adjust focus); walking from place to place within the project location with occasional use of stairs/ladder and no elevator available; bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for up to 2 hours.

    DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS

    • This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

    • Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • No supervisory responsibilities.

    As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
