Photocopy Supervisor supervises high-volume copying, printing, and finishing operations. Monitors production processes to fulfill jobs for document duplication, printing, finishing, binding, lamination, and other processes. Being a Photocopy Supervisor inspects the set up required for each job for accuracy. Assists with troubleshooting and resolution of any equipment problems or malfunctions. Additionally, Photocopy Supervisor performs quality checks on work in process and finished jobs to avoid errors or waste. Trains operators on standard procedures for machine set-up, operation, maintenance, completed job preparation, and work order tracking. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Photocopy Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Photocopy Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. TITLE: Photocopy Machine Operator
LOCATION: Support Services Center, Norwich, NY
REPORTS: Print Shop Supervisor
TERMS: Full time, 12 months
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: Either
A. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency
diploma; or
B. One year of work experience which included the operation of Photostat,
photocopy, microfilming, offset printing and/or other photocopying
equipment
RESPONSIBILITIES/
DUTIES:
This position involves the operation of high-speed photocopying machines and
related equipment in the legible reproduction of various papers and/or documents.
Receives various materials to be photocopied; Sorts copy requests, operates
several high-speed copiers; Operates a variety of related machines such a as
printers and binders; Prepares machine by adjusting for type of paper, giving
documents proper sequence and placement, feeding paper into machine, removing
paper jams; Makes minor adjustments and repairs to machinery and equipment.
May perform duties such as collating, stapling, binding, hole drilling, saddle
stitching, folding, stocking paper, shipping finished products, or shrink wrapping.
SALARY/BENEFITS: $15 per hour, based on BOCES Educational Support Personnel Association
(BESPA) contract.
