IMC is looking to hire a full-time, night shift Pharmacist to join our team . The Pharmacist interprets physician prescriptions and medications orders. Acts as a drug information resource to patients, medical staff, nursing staff and ancillary department personnel. Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals for patient care by performing the related duties. Participates in all clinical projects and activities within the department. Fill medications accurately and timely, order and store drugs, operate Pyxis, monitor controlled substances, aid in annual inventory, fill employee prescriptions, assists in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement projects, follow all laws and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy. Assists in the training of new personnel. Supervise pharmacy technicians. Perform other duties as required.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Doctorate of Pharmacy degree or Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent Graduated from an accredited School of Pharmacy Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education or subsequent training Current Pharmacist certification or licensure in the State of Louisiana Hospital experience preferred
